Bell not ruling out 360 Invictus design tweaks

Bell will determine whether or not to make design changes on a newly developed light scout helicopter once the US Army confirms FARA weapons systems requirements.

Manufacturer Bell has said it could implement ‘some minor changes’ to the in-development 360 Invictus Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) contender once the US Army decides on engineering, manufacturing and development weapons systems requirements in Q1 2021.

The company announced it started airframe assembly of the helicopter ‘this week’ at Amarillo, Texas, and has completed internal critical design reviews for rotors and drive systems, ahead of a final design and risk review assessment to be made by the army in November.
