Playing the Ace card with the Austrian Armed Forces

Despite setbacks with contracts and the adjustment of onboard tech, Ace Aeronautics, manufacturers of the Ace Deck VL 60 avionics suite, is not only confident deadlines will be met for the modernisation of the Austrian Armed Forces Black Hawk fleet but they will probably want some more after completion.

In June last year the company, then known as Global Aviation Solutions, was awarded a $40 million contract to  design, manufacture, install and test a new avionics system, known as Ace Deck VL 60, for the armed forces nine Sikorsky S-70A-42 Black Hawks. This contract was re-awarded five months later further
