Philippines sizes up Black Hawk as best fit
According to a Philippine Air Force (PAF) technical working group (TWG), Sikorsky’s S-70/UH-60 has been identified as the best solution for the air force’s Combat Utility Helicopter requirement for 16 aircraft to replace ageing UH-1s.
This news was revealed by Defence Secretary Delfin Lorenzana on 7 December: ‘The air force TWG has come up with the recommendation that Black Hawk is the best option that they will buy, so we will pursue it,’ he told reporters
