Philippines marks out favoured attack helicopter

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has narrowed its desire for armed helicopters towards a dedicated attack helicopter platform rather than simply an armed light helicopter.

The service has even expressed which type is favoured – the T129 Atak from Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI).

While no formal selection has been made, the technical working group in charge of this project has identified the T129 as the best fit for the PAF’s future requirements.
