Petards secures UK market contracts
Petards has detailed contracts received for work in the UK military market worth a combined £1.5 million.
The first contract, awarded by the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD), will see the company deliver an Emulator that will increase the effectiveness of the ALE-47 Threat Adaptive Countermeasures Dispenser System used on the UK's large transport aircraft.
Deliveries on this contract will complete by mid-2018.
The company will also continue to supply ALE-47 TACDS equipment for the upgrade of the Merlin Mk.4 helicopter under a contract awarded by Leonardo. Leonardo is currently upgrading the Merlin fleet under the Merlin Life Sustainment Programme.
Deliveries on this award will take place during the first half of 2018.
A third exercised option, also from the UK MoD, covers the continued supply of mobile radio equipment, ancillaries and engineering services through to September 2018. Under this contract, Petards identifies and supplies solutions to meet complex military communications requirements.
