Defence Services Asia: Pelbagai OEM membuat jangkaan untuk RfP helicopter serangan Malaysia
Jangkaan kekal tinggi terhadap potensi Malaysia untuk tender helicopter serangan, dengan pelbagai calon platform dari Bell, Airbus Helicopters dan Boeing bakal dipamerkan di expo Defence Services Asia di Kuala Lumpur.
Peningkatan aktiviti pemberotakkan di Malaysia telah menumpukan perhatian kepada kekurangan keupayaan serang balas negara serta mendorong Tentera Darat Malaysia untuk menilai platform yang sesuai.
Boeing dan Airbus Helicopters telah masing-masing menawarkan AH-6 Little Bird dan EC665 Tiger sedangkan Bell mempromosikan kedua-dua helikopter UH-1y dan AH-1Z.
Terdapat beberapa spekulasi sama ada AgustaWestland dan Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) akan turut bersaing dengan helikopter serangan T-129 yang telah dibentuk oleh kedua-dua syarikat
