Pave Hawks rescue 'unwell' sailor

Crews onboard a pair of United States Air Force HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopters have successfully rescued an ill sailor off the coast of Ireland.

The man, who is understood to be in his 30s and from the Philippines, was flown to Shannon airport and transferred to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick where his condition is not thought to be serious

As previously reported on Rotorhub.com earlier today (http://www.shephard.co.uk/news/3206/pave-hawks-en-route-to-atlantic-rescue-rendezvous) the helicopters based at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk were part of an international rescue operation launched on Friday morning which also involved a US Air Force MC-130P helicopter refuelling tanker,
