Paris Air Show 2013: FLIR launches new HD system for helicopters

FLIR launched its latest generation system, the Star Safire 380-HDc, at the Paris Air Show on 17 June. The new compact gimbal is largely aimed at the helicopter market.

‘It’s really a new generation. We’ve upped the ante with the system,’ Dave Strong, head of marketing for FLIR Government Systems, told Shephard. ‘We took a blank sheet of paper, took everything we’ve learnt and repackaged it in the Star Safire 380 HDc.’
