Paris Air Show 2013: Boeing raises international sales target
Boeing has increased its non-US sales to more than a quarter of its business, as the company realigns itself to weather the current US defence budget cuts.
The company had set a target three years ago of bringing its international business up to around 25% of total revenue. Head of Boeing’s defence division, Dennis Muilenburg, revealed that in 2012 the company closed at 24% international revenue – up from 7% five years earlier.
‘And in the first quarter [of 2013] we were at about 28% so you can see that progress continuing,’ Muilenburg told a pre-Paris Air Show media
