OCCAR confirms plan to ink MBDA MAST-F contract

The Organisation for Joint Armament Cooperation (OCCAR) is carrying out 'tender evaluation and contract preparation activities’ which will go directly toward MBDA being issued with a full contract for the development of the MAST-F future air-to-surface weapon for the Tiger Mk3 attack helicopter before the end of 2020.

The development follows on from the weapons manufacturer being issued with an Invitation to Tender for the programme by OCCAR in July 2019, which involved a non-competitive process excluding other industry candidates.  

Development and production of MAST-F has been projected by OCCAR to take place between 2020-2040, overlapping with an in-service support
