No Blue Eagles in 2010

The Army Air Corps aerial demonstration team, the Blue Eagles is being put in abeyance for the 2010 airshow season.

The team which perform helicopter demonstrations using single examples of the Lynx and the Apache announced the decsion on its website.

The statement says: "The Blue Eagles are to be put in abeyance for the forthcoming 2010 season.

"Where practicable they will support events with role demonstrations and/or static displays.

"The intention is to re-establish the Blue Eagles on the display circuit with a new, invigorated display in 2011.
