MSPO 2016: Mesko seeking laser guided rockets

One of the key Polish military procurement trends in the past decade has been the continued transition towards NATO standard equipment.

As part of this drive, Warsaw is moving away from the 57mm and 82mm unguided rockets previously used on Polish helicopters, in favour of the NATO 70mm rocket and launcher.

With 70mm unguided rockets being produced domestically, manufacturer Mesko is now studying the option of partnering with a foreign supplier for the development of a guidance kit in order to greater improve accuracy.
