MSPO 2015: Caracal fights on

The Polish procurement of the EC725/H225M Caracal for their utility helicopter requirement is in the final stages of a re-adjustment, it has emerged.

Airbus Helicopters, which manufactures the Caracal, is making adjustments to its price offer because of the decision by Poland to reduce its requirement from 70 to 50 helicopters.

Barbara Texier, regional sales manager for Airbus Helicopters, told Shephard at the MSPO exhibition in Kielce, Poland that following a meeting with the deputy minister of defence on 1 September, the deal had moved into its final phase with the budget negotiation.
