Milpower power converters for AH-64E Apache
Milpower Source has announced that it will provide rugged DC-DC and AC-DC power converters for use in the US Army’s AH-64E Apache helicopter.
Designed by Milpower Source, the power converters will support the technical, weight and size critical requirements of the Apache programme.
The multiple power converters are modifiable, off-the-shelf, high density solutions designed specifically for military and aerospace applications.
Tomer Eshed, general manager, Milpower Source, said: ‘Milpower Source is pleased to receive this follow-on order for several power converter products, defining power conversion technology. This order focuses on developing power conversion solutions for demanding military applications. We are proud of our ability to deliver the solutions our military forces and warfighters require.’
Deliveries will begin in 2018, with the first production units scheduled for the spring.
