Mi-26TV2 kicks-off flight testing

The Mi-26T2V, a heavy helicopter for the Russian Army Aviation branch, was unveiled to the public for the first time at the Army 2018 defence exhibition held in Kubinka near Moscow.

The prototype, reworked from a standard Mi-26 transport, made its maiden flight at the factory airfield of Rostvertol plant in Rostov on Don on 19 August and is currently undergoing a series of factory flight tests slated for completion by year-end.
