Mexican Navy receives new Panthers

The Mexican Navy has received a further two AS565MBe helicopters bringing the total of aircraft it now has in service to six.

The two helicopters were received by Vice-Admiral José María García Macedo, general coordinator of Naval Aviation, in a ceremony held at Airbus Helicopters’ factory in Marignane, France, on 31 May.

The two Panthers are part of an order for ten AS565MBe which was placed by the navy in 2014 to replace its legacy fleet of Airbus Helicopters BO105CBS-5s used in the shipborne role.
