ManTech to support H-53 heavy lift helicopter programme
ManTech has received a four-year $47 million contract to provide technical support and collaboration for the US Navy Naval Air Systems Command H-53 heavy lift helicopter programme, the company announced on 30 July.
The contract has been awarded as part of the US Department of Defence Information Analysis Center's Defense Systems technical area task multi-award contract.
Under the contract, ManTech will provide PMA-261 and collaborating programmes with digital technical data products including interactive electronic technical manuals, common source data tools and integration capabilities for logistics technical data solutions in Aviation Logistics Environment systems.
The work will ensure the integration of legacy technical data into digital solutions including maximising the use of automation.
Kevin M Phillips, president and CEO of ManTech, said: ‘ManTech’s support will bring digital to the mission, enhancing the maintainability of H-53 rotorcraft while reducing the overall cost, improving time to repair, increasing operational availability and decreasing the total logistics footprint required.’
