Mi-171Sh-VN shown for first time

The latest military derivative of the Mi-8/1 family, the Mi-171Sh-VN has been revealed at MAKS 2017 near Moscow.

In its new guise, this latest Hip military derivative is reported to be ready for flight testing. The aircraft has already been offered to potential customers, especially to those looking for helicopters that will be supporting special forces on the ground.

The new machine is going be offered under the generic and well-known Mi-171Sh designation.

The Mi-171Sh-VN is an attack derivative being promoted for anti-terrorist and close air support operations while retaining the assault transport capability.
