Long game on horizon for H160M export customers
Deliveries of the in-development Airbus H160M medium aircraft will not be available to export customers any sooner than 2026, as the manufacturer first concentrates on managing a tri-service deal with France.
Airbus will continue to prioritise a programme schedule for its launch customer that targets prototype activities beginning in 2023 and first aircraft deliveries three years later – with 169 of the new helicopters set to be handed over to the French Army, French Navy and French Air Force.
Looked upon by the manufacturer as an ideal solution for all manner of missions including commando infiltration, national airspace protection,
