Lockheed’s AN/APR-52 RWR achieves TRL 6
Lockheed Martin’s AN/APR-52 Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) for the US Air Force (USAF) Combat Rescue Helicopter programme has achieved Technical Readiness Level (TRL) 6 assessment.
The RWR, part of the helicopter's tactical mission system, reached the achievement following a successful demonstration at the USAF Integrated Demonstrations and Applications Laboratory.
The AN/APR-52 RWR is an all-digital, four-channel radar warning receiver. The system is designed to process a large number of signals simultaneously to accurately and quickly identify threats to the aircrew. The AN/APR-52 RWR provides a high probability of detection for modern and emerging threats in very dense signal environments.
The USAF is seeking 112 HH-60W helicopters will replace its aging HH-60G Pave Hawk search and rescue helicopters, which perform critical combat search and rescue and personnel recovery operations for all US military services.
