Lockheed Martin to deliver target sight system for FMS customers
Lockheed Martin is to provide 19 units of its AN/AAQ-30A target sight system to two FMS customers, under a $49.66 million contract modification from US Naval Air Systems Command.
Recipients will include Bahrain (14 units) and the Czech Republic (five units). Work will be completed in January 2023.
The AN/AAQ-30A is the multi-sensor EO/IR fire-control system for the AH-1Z Viper attack helicopter. The large-aperture mid-wave MWIR sensor includes four FOV for maximum image resolution and long-range performance.
AN/AAQ-30A also features a highly stabilised and inertially isolated gimbal for precise line-of-sight pointing; and a multi-mode multi-target tracker provides precision weapon designation and target geolocation data.
