Libya interested in T129 helicopter

Libyan interest in the T129 attack helicopter emerged during Prime Minister Ali Zeidan’s visit to Turkish Aerospace Industries’ (TAI) facilities in Turkey on 3 January. 

The T129 attack helicopter performed a flight demonstration, after which the delegation, accompanied by the Undersecretary for Defence Industries Murad Bayar, examined the platform together with the trainer aircraft Hürkuş.

In a joint press conference with Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Zeidan highlighted Libya’s requirement for helicopters and assault boats to strengthen the country’s coastal security capabilities. 

TAI is also looking to enter other export markets with the T129 attack helicopter. Jordan and Pakistan
