Legal woes hinder helicopter procurement

Legal disputes concerning helicopter procurement processes dominated the first half of 2018 which then muddied a much broader picture of rotary successes between military operators and industry.  

The US Army signed a contract with Airbus Helicopters for the acquisition of 35 UH-72A Lakota trainer helicopters in March ending a long dispute over open competition.
