Ka-52s received by Russian Air and Space Force

The Russian Air and Space Force (RuASF) added to its inventory 14 newly-built Ka-52 attack helicopters in 2017.

This has been revealed by Yury Borisov, Russian deputy defence minister responsible for procurement. The RuASF now has a fleet of more than 100 Ka-52s operated by its army aviation branch, equipping six front-line squadrons in addition to one conversion training squadron.

Six of these Ka-52s taken in 2017 were delivered to the 55th Independent Helicopter Regiment (IHR) in Korennovsk in the Southern Military District while the remaining eight examples went to the 440th IHR stationed in Vyazma in the Western Military
