Italian AB-212s complete 1,500 hours in Afghanistan
Agusta-Bell AB-212s of the Italian Air Force have passed the milestone 1,500 flying hours on coalition operations in Afghanistan.
The aircraft from 21° Gruppo fly as part of the Italian Task Group 'Tiger' operating in and around the area of RC Capital (Kabul) and RC West (Herat and the surrounding provinces).
The milestone of 1,500 flight hours in Afghanistan was acheived on August 31 during a night mission that took off and landed in Herat.
Task Force Tiger has operated in Afghanistan for four years, its AB-212s are used for the armed reconnaissance, tactical transport and aeromedical evacuation missions.
