Indonesia to overhaul Mi-35Ps in Russia

Russian Helicopters has received a contract to upgrade Mil Mi-35P attack helicopters owned by the Indonesian Army (TNI-AD).

The Russian-built helicopters will be overhauled at the 150th Aviation Repair Factory (ARF) in Svetly, Kaliningrad Region. 

A press release from Russian Helicopters published on its website on 5 December, and available only in Russian, stated, ‘Representatives of an Indonesian company started dismantling, mothballing and loading of helicopters and their components in cooperation with 150th ARF specialists since 28 November 2016.’

The first overhauled unit is slated to return to Indonesia next year.
