ILA 2014: Sikorsky looks to Europe with the CH-53K

Sikorsky is beginning to eye future European heavy lift developments, in particular in Germany, as it further develops the CH-53K King Stallion for the US Marine Core (USMC).

The CH-53K is tracking well to achieve first flight by the end of 2014, and is expected to reach initial operating capability by the scheduled 2019 deadline, Robert Kokorda, VP of defence systems and services at Sikorsky told Shephard at the ILA air show in Berlin on 20 May.
