IAF receives final five Apaches under 2015 order
Boeing has completed deliveries of its AH-64E Apache Guardian helicopters to the Indian Air Force (IAF).
The final five of 22 Apaches were handed over to the IAF at Air Force Station Hindan last month, Boeing announced on 9 July.
India signed the original contract in September 2015, and six more AH-64Es are on order.
India is one of 17 nations to select the Apache. The AH-64E variant is designed and equipped with an open systems architecture including the latest communications, navigation, sensor and weapon systems.
The Apache Guardian also has an improved Modernized Target Acquisition Designation System that provides day, night and all-weather target information, as well as night vision navigation capability.
