Helitech 2016: Helitune and Leonardo in tune for onboard systems
Helitune’s onboard rotor blade tracker, RT-TipTrak, has been selected as the standard blade tracker for installation on AW189 and AW169 aircraft.
Designed for internal or external mounting, RT-TipTrak measures helicopter rotor blade height and lead lag and is suitable for use either as an integral part of onboard HUMS or carry-on rotor track and balance systems.
The system is also fitted to UK MoD Merlins as well as Danish AW101s and the Norwegian AW101 SAR helicopters.
