BAE Systems’ Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) has been fired from a Bell 407GT at Yuma Proving Grounds, qualifying it for use on-board the newly-released aircraft.

Seven of the 70mm rockets were fired as part of the qualification of the weapon’s safety and suitability on-board the platform in December. The testing was funded by Bell, and is part of an on-going effort by BAE to qualify the weapon system on-board different types of platform.
