Heli-Expo 2013: Sikorsky chief counts on commercial and foreign business

Sikorsky expects sales to commercial and non-US military customers to overshadow its US government work in the next three to four years, it has emerged.

Speaking at the Heli-Expo exhibition in Las Vegas on 5 March, Sikorsky president Mick Maurer, said while the military was a declining segment, the company was relatively insulated from any severe decline due to the nature of its multiyear contract for the Black Hawk and its derivatives. 

However, the predicted growth of Sikorsky’s share of the civil helicopter sector as well as forecast sales of military aircraft to international customers will see these two segments
