Heli-Expo 2013: L-3 secures large aviation products order
Sikorsky has selected a range of L-3 Aviation Products’ (AP’s) systems for its H-60 and S-70i helicopters.
Announced by L-3 at Heli-Expo in Las Vegas, the aircraft will include: the GH-3001 Electronic Standby Instrument System (ESIS); Stormscope WX-500 Lightning Detection System; and PS-855 Emergency Power Supply.
This is the largest single order for these products, L-3 said. The military-specific GH-3001 is NVG compatible, and provides accurate attitude, altitude, airspeed and heading cues in a compact unit that has been certified to higher EMI levels, the company said.
