Heli-Expo 2012: Work underway on Marenco Swisshelicopter prototype
Marenco Swisshelicopter has begun assembly of its prototype SKYe SH09 single-engined light helicopter.
The company, which unveiled its distinctive design at Heli-Expo 2011 in Orlando, is currently building the aircraft at Mollis airfield near Zurich and plans to make a maiden flight later this year.
Mathias Senes, commercial director at the company, told Shephard he was extremely impressed by the response given to the aircraft at the show. The company confirmed several early orders for the aircraft at the show in 2011. This year, Marenco booked four orders the day before the show opened, bringing the total number of SKYe
