Heli-Expo 2012: Enstrom signs contract for final 28 TH-480Bs for the JGSDF
Enstrom has signed a follow-on contract to provide 28 TH-480B training helicopters for the Japanese Ground Self-Defence Force (JGSDF).
The contract follows a two-year evaluation of the Enstrom 480B by the JGSDF in the training role. The contract will take the number of aircraft ordered by the air arm to 30 and Enstrom is optimistic about follow-on orders.
The contract was signed with Enstrom's representative in Japan, Aero Facility Co. Ltd, which provides the aircraft to the Japanese government.
