Heli-Expo 2012: AgustaWestland takes a positive outlook
AgustaWestland says it has a positive outlook on 2012 having recorded more than 200 orders during 2011, up from 197 a year before.
Speaking on the eve of Heli-Expo 2012 in Dallas, Bruno Spagnolini, CEO of AgustaWestland, said the company was growing at three times the rate of market growth and had now captured around 25% of the commercial rotorcraft market.
Of the 200 orders, around 100 were for the company's best selling AW139, an aircraft which was in the words of Roberto Garavaglia, the company's head of marketing, doing 'every job, everywhere on the planet'.
