Russian Helicopters and Russia’s state-owned leasing company GTLK signed on 20 July 2017 a contract detailing the delivery of 30 EMS helicopters under a newly-designed, state-sponsored leasing scheme. This is a follow-on from the helicopter purchase by GTLK made in November 2016.

Deliveries of all rotorcraft ordered this July are slated for completion in 2018; the list of the ordered aircraft includes 12 Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant Mi-8AMTs, six Kazan Helicopters Mi-8MTV-1s and 12 more Ansats.

The new orders followed a decision by the Russian government to prolong the state-sponsored HEMS programme provided to remote regions of Russia
