Global decline of military aircraft market forecast

The production of military aircraft will decline over the next decade due to shrinking defence budgets, according to projections by Forecast International.

Around 11,940 military aircraft representing a value of $480 billion are expected to be produced during the 2013-2022 period, according to the forecast released by Forecast International on 27 August. 

The company projects a peak of 1,367 units in 2014 after which it will drop to a low of 1,095 in 2018.
