Flight test date set for SB>1 Defiant
The SB>1 Defiant Joint Multi-Role Technology Demonstrator (JMR-TD) will complete its first flight test in the third quarter of 2017, it was confirmed by Boeing officials in Philadelphia.
The flight testing will take place at West Palm Beach, Florida, and will be conducted over a period of about a year with views to publish a requirement document thereafter.
Sikorsky and Boeing currently have a 50/50 partnership for the SB>1 Defiant and are in the development stages of the JMR programme.
