Five H225Ms with teeth headed to Brazilian Navy

The first H225M configured as a naval combat variant is expected to be delivered to the Brazilian Navy in April 2018 after military certification trials, it has emerged.

Equipped with MBDA’s Exocet AM39 air-to-surface missiles and an indigenous tactical mission system, four other naval combat variants will follow year-on-year through to 2022.

The unveiling of the naval combat configuration, with instrumented and mock-up AM39s on board the aircraft, took place on the 25 October at Helibras’ site in Itajubá, Brazil.
