First Bell 407GX delivered to Mexican Air Force

The Mexican Air Force (Fuerza Aérea Mexicana - FAM) has received its first Bell Helicopter 407GX aircraft, a company spokesperson confirmed to Shephard.

It is the first aircraft to be delivered out of a total of 15 aircraft ordered by the FAM earlier this year and will be configured for a number of parapublic roles.

According to Bell Helicopter, the 407GXs will be operated by the 111th Air Squadron based at the Military Airbase in Zapopan, Jalisco. The FAM already operates the Bell 412EP, Bell 212 and Bell 206B.
