Final MD 530Fs arrive in Kabul

The final batch of MD 530F Cayuse Warriors have arrived in the Afghan capital for delivery to the Afghan Air Force (AAF), MD Helicopters has announced.

The MD 530F Cayuse Warrior light scout attack helicopters were delivered in under ten months, after the US Department of the Army Non-Standard Rotary Wing Program Office awarded the contract in October last year.

With the delivery of the final four aircraft, the total number of MD 530Fs within the AAF’s fleet now stands at 27. A retrofitted version of the single-engine attack helicopter has been in operation with the AAF since 2011 when
