FIDAE 2016: Final Mexican 407GXP delivered

Bell Helicopter announced on the eve of the FIDAE airshow in Chile that it has delivered the 15th and final 407GXP to the Mexican Air Force (Fuerza Aérea Mexicana – FAM).

A contract for 15 407GXPs was awarded to Bell Helicopter a year ago and, as Shephard reported, the first aircraft was delivered around a month afterwards.

All 15 aircraft will be operated by the 111th Air Squadron based at the military airbase in Zapopan, Jalisco. The aircraft are not armed and will perform counter-narcotics missions as well as utility and CASEVAC roles.
