FIDAE 2010: New LEAP for light attack helicopters

Elbit Systems and ATK are working on a joint programme to provide a lightweight low-cost armament package for light helicopters.
The system, called the Light Enhanced Armament Package (LEAP), has been revealed on a mock-up of a Eurocopter EC635 at the FIDAE Airshow in Chile. Elbit would not give many details about the system only than to say it was making its debut at the show and was designed to fit a range of light twin-engined rotary-wing aircraft. 
The company said LEAP is a 'complete solution' for a variety of missions: attack, close air support, surveillance and CSAR.
