FIDAE 2010: High confidence in Helibras

Brazil is on track to become Eurocopter's fourth domestic market, according to the CEO of the company's Brazilian partner.
 
Speaking to Rotorhub.com at the FIDAE Airshow in Chile, Eduardo Marson Ferreira said he was confident that Helibras would be designing and producing aircraft in the next 10-15 years.
 
This follows comments made at the Paris Airshow last year by Eurocopter CEO Lutz Bertling, who said 'Brazil wants to expand its aerospace industry beyond Embraer'.
 
On 20 March this was strengthened as the groundwork began for the new EC725 production facility at Itajuba where Helibras will build EC725s for the Brazilian
