Farnborough: BAE Systems to launch new Striker helmet

BAE Systems will use the Farnborough International Airshow to launch its Striker II helmet-mounted display system (HMDS), which is now aimed at both fighter aircraft and attack helicopter platforms.

Speaking to reporters at a pre-Farnborough briefing, BAE Systems business development director Chris Colston said the Striker II would provide one core offering for fast jet and ‘high-end’ helicopter applications.

‘In our current generations of Striker products, we do have a different variant between our fast jet and our rotary wing. In our new Striker II product you will see at Farnborough we are going for a single solution for both
