Farnborough 2018: US Navy hints at Israeli V-22 package
The US Naval Air Systems Command is hopeful it can reach an agreement with Israel for the delivery of a number of Bell-Boeing V-22 Osprey tiltrotors.
Such a deal had been close to being signed off by both parties ‘three to four years ago’, according to Col Matthew Kelly, V-22 joint programme office, programme manager.
Despite not elaborating on the cause for that contract failing to be signed, he said the Navy is hopeful they 'can work something out' with the Middle Eastern nation and have it included in the third multi-year haul of aircraft due to be manufactured between
