Farnborough 2016: Multinational concept for V-22 released

To encourage foreign sales of the V-22 Osprey, a multinational concept is being put forward to entice customers to share support and services of the aircraft as a cost-saving exercise. 

The early stages of the concept were discussed by Col Dan Robinson, programme manager for the V-22, at the Farnborough International Airshow 2016 (FIA 2016).

Japan is the first international customer to sign a foreign military sale (FMS) with an initial five aircraft contract of an expected overall order of 17 Ospreys. Nevertheless, a further four to five countries are interested in the aircraft, Robinson confirmed.
