Farnborough 2010: APKWS one step closer to production

BAE Systems is confident it is on the verge of securing a low-rate initial production (LRIP) contract with the US government for the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS).

Speaking to Rotorhub.com at the Farnborough International Air Show, BAE Systems representatives said that following the approval of ‘Milestone C’ in March, the company had been in negotiations for LRIP and was hopeful of a contract by the end of July.
