Eurosatory: New rockets for French Tigers (video)
The French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA) is currently working on developing new laser guided rockets for the French Army's Tiger attack helicopter.
To date the DGA, in partnership with TDA Armaments SAS – a Thales subsidiary, has carried out three live tests of the new rocket system. The laser guided rocket is a wireless system, which allows the system to be loaded more easily.
With modification to the launch pod the new rockets could also be launched from fixed wing and unmanned aircraft.
