Dutch AH-64E delivery schedule revealed

The Netherlands is planning on receiving its 28 strong fleet of remanufactured Apache AH-64E Guardian attack helicopters over a two and half year period beginning in ‘the summer of 2022’, Shephard has learned. 

The US State Department cleared the way for the proposed sale of the helicopters in February through a foreign military sale. The deal to upgrade the European country’s existing AH-64D Longbow Block II aircraft to the Guardian variant is estimated to cost $1.191 billion.   

The move toward acquisition of the Guardian is to curtail expenses associated with maintenance and repair of the Longbow fleet, according to
